Hello

Hi, I am Rob Bakker and I want to welcome you to the Counseling Continuum. I was born in the Netherlands and moved to the U.S. in 1998 to play soccer and tennis at Xavier University.  In 2015 I was inducted into Xavier’s athletic Hall of Fame.  After achieving my MBA at Xavier, I have had professional roles in business as well as in sports. I decided to combine my passion for excelling at high levels with my passion for people and completed the Mental Health Counseling program at Xavier with a focus on performance counseling.

My Story

My philosophy in counseling is somewhat simple.  I believe that we all know what is best for ourselves. We simply get stuck in habits, relationships, and patterns that are difficult to break. I invite you to take time together with me to create awareness and find the answers you need to grow and function so that you enjoy life to its fullest. I am passionate about working with people who are looking to unlock their full potential, whether it be in sports, relationships, careers, or other aspects of life.

Through care, reflection, active listening and simply being there for you, I am convinced that together, we will find a positive path forward.
